About Us
At Broughton Community Energy, we are a dedicated group of volunteers fuelled by the desire to create a sustainable and energy-secure future. By focusing on low-cost, low-carbon energy solutions, we envision a village entirely powered by clean energy sources.
Dan Payne
Dan began his career as a physicist before transitioning into management consultancy and large-scale programme management in the media and telecommunications industries. He's lived in the village with his family for over 20 years. He has a strong interest in cycling (not only with the Broughton Wheelers), sailing, technology, and, most recently, electricity generation!
Andrew Illingworth
Andrew has had a multifarious career, including 25 years in IT, and is now promoting garden sculpture! Apparently retired (doesn't feel it!) he is happily involved in the community and is particularly passionate about Broughton Community Energy
